The NPFL has imposed a fine of N1 million on Rangers Football Club of Enugu for engaging in violent conduct.

Rangers Football Club of Enugu is facing charges for violating the Nigeria Premier Football League Framework & Rules.

In the game against Abia Warriors on Sunday, November 25, there are allegations that some Rangers officials brought the match into disrepute by reacting violently to provocation from the home team, Abia Warriors. This behavior is considered an act of misconduct under NPFL rules.

Apart from the fine of N1 million, Rangers have also been ordered to identify and produce the officials involved in the act of misconduct for further sanctions.

The Enugu club have been warned that a repetition of the same act of misconduct will result in severe sanctions.

The Enugu club has received a warning that engaging in similar misconduct in the future will lead to severe sanctions.
Rangers has a 48-hour window from the date of the notice to either appeal or accept the sanctions, as stated by the NPFL.
