The Kaduna State Police Command operatives have successfully liberated a kidnapped housewife in Zaria. According to a statement from the command’s spokesman, ASP Mansur Hassan, the rescue operation took place in the early hours of Sunday, December 10, 2023.
“At approximately 0100hrs on Sunday, our operatives were alerted to the presence of an unidentified group of armed men invading a residence in the Dogarawa area of Sabon Gari, Zaria LGA,” stated the PPRO.
“The armed assailants abducted a 37-year-old housewife from the residence.
“Upon receiving the call, our patrol team promptly responded and pursued the criminals. Owing to our superior firepower, the kidnappers abandoned the victim, resulting in her successful rescue,” the spokesperson added.
He mentioned that the abducted victim has been safely reunited with her family without any harm.
Mr. Hassan emphasized that investigations are currently underway, with increased efforts to apprehend the fleeing suspects and subject them to the full force of the law.
He appealed for prompt and valuable information to facilitate proactive measures in ensuring the safety and security of the community.
